quick update
I just got home from seeing my doctor, and everything is still looking good with the pregnancy. My blood pressure is great. No extreme swelling yet. No protein my urine. Yee-haw! The baby actually feels enormous inside me, and every night after dinner she has taken to shifting or rolling, which makes my abdomen look alive. (I imagine this kind of thing doesn't interest most second-time mothers, but this is all a first for me. Crazy.)
I kind of hoped that my doctor would come down hard on one side of the VBAC/C-section question, but she didn't, and told me, instead, that she felt comfortable with whatever decision I decided to make. She really is a great doctor, and of course, this is all reassuring, but it means that I still have to make the decision and be able to live with the decision I make. My doc thinks I'll wake up one morning knowing what's right for me. I'm not so sure it's going to happen that way, but I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Yay for great bp's and no protein!!
good news! have a great week, and enjoy all the baby/belly activity! every day is a new day!
I think the moving-on-its-own belly is always shocking. Oops, I mean exciting.
Hooray for a continued healthy pregnancy! About the birth: I'm sure you'll arrive at your own best decision when the time comes.
Congrats on everything. Sounds like a hard decision, but it seems like you have every right to find it so.
Thank you!
Melissa, you are absolutely right--the moving-on-its own belly IS shocking. I keep having flashbacks to Alien.
kate! i was going to say the EXACT SAME thing! it's how i felt with fluffy, thoughts of Alien! suddenly i'd see a foot go riding across my belly!
Kate,
I'm so happy for your progress during your current PG. That is great news, and thanks for visiting my blog too. I appreciate it when others share their thoughts with me.

Yay! I am thrilled for you. Can you still lumber about for an herbal tea date, or is it too close to delivery?
As a mommy, I should already know these these things, but the memories, they are vague...
Glad to hear you're doing well. The baby moving around was always my favorite part. I often think my son is the same outside as he was inside. He was always moving around. Except when I had to go for an ultrasound. That's when he would decide to sleep. I never bothered much with the fetal kick counts because I always knew there were enough. Enjoy these last weeks!
ta, the movement is definitely my favorite part of pregnancy, as well. Dare I hope, though, that I will get a calm one this time?
